This may sound a little strange, but we do not have a set daily schedule to give you. The simple fact is, for 12 years we have been offering guided eco-kayak tours on Cape Cod, mornings and afternoons, and since 1998 we have never had a set schedule. The reason is - Mother Nature creates our schedule. We paddle Nauset Marsh or Pleasant Bay each day, and where we go depends upon which direction the wind is blowing and how the impending weather patterns are setting up.

Explore Cape Cod Kayak is permitted to launch out of 10 different town landings throughout Eastham, Orleans, and Chatham, on Nauset Marsh in the Cape Cod National Seashore and on Pleasant Bay, and the kayak routes we take each day might be selected two nights prior or some tour routes are not even announced until the day of the tour or until we know what the weather is doing.

With everyone carrying cell phones these days we can stay closely in touch to make sure reservations have the correct directions in plenty of time to, what we consider, the most sheltered launch sites and the most protected kayak routes. It's just our way, and why 2500 people paddle with us each year, many of them repeat clients.

So, tours launch in the morning at 8:30 and 9AM and afternoons at 1:30PM. Tours are 3 to 4 hours in length and include a basic instructional session and time to walk the marsh sand flats or barrier beaches.

Cancellation Policy: All kayak tours have a 48 hour cancellation policy.

We only accept cash or check at the end of the tour as payment, but request a credit card number to hold your spot (we do not run it through), this just insures you show up. You can give us a credit card number over the phone when we call to confirm directions to the launch site and remind you what to wear and what to bring. Frankly, we just like to chat about the experience in general. A credit card is required to reserve your spot (but your credit card is NOT charged, we only accept cash or check at the end of the tour).

All tours are weather dependent.

Rain and Wind policy: We do not consider your vacation to be an extreme sporting event. We believe your kayaking adventure is about communing with nature and for us, passing along our knowledge of the area. Sea kayaking can be a very enjoyable activity in the rain. Showery weather is common to Cape Cod coastal environs. Sometimes it also means there will be less wind, which is good. Our policy is not to cancel for rain. However, should there be "driving rain" and/or wind over 12 knots we will likely cancel.
